every once in awhile i spend to much time online in the wrong places. i've noticed the anti's are aptly named. they're just anti everything period. ok i'm sure everyone has seen the negative post about the manner of take by anti's. from firearms are to easy to try that with your hands etc. it's not the actual method its the fact you hunt. if you hunt bear with dogs its cruel to the dogs/bear. if you bait your lazy. if you spot and stalk your cheating by using a firearm. if you bow hunt it's not a quick death. if you club something your a pyscho. trapping is cruel. knife or spear something and your blood thirsty. hit it with a car and leave it in the ditch your forgiven. buy a hobby farm and displace it to starve and it's ok cause you need a place to live. so i admit to being a bit skeptical about any discussion going any where with the hysteria they use as a first and only response. now having been through several slaughter houses i don't feel they're the method of death i would choose myself. given a choice one of the quicker methods employed by hunters would sure win out.
so is this anti hunting issue real for most of these people or just something they randomly spout off about? do you think for a instant they would accept any method of harvest?
i believe few really have any idea what they're trying to say much less what they're upset about, but it probably has very little to do with hunting. the few who are absolutely against any type of harvest or hunting have to be mentally disillusioned and perhaps more.
it's ok to use disinfectant and germicides but ALL life is sacred to the point no one may take a life for any reason. it's a scary and confusing world through a anti's eyes i'm sure.
i have noticed third world countries and the true poor never bring this crap up .
let me hear your opinion on the cause of these problems.

I think the ANTI-MOVEMENT began in the 60's with the hippies. They were against anything their parents believed in or stood for.Things have gotten PROGRESSIVELY worse since then and unless people wake up i don't see things getting any better. The Bible tells us when we're in the end times that which was wrong will be right and that what was right will be wrong !

i agree i'm not much for our govt. but i believe the problems bigger. it appears to me that by keeping everyone riled up against each other its much easier to control us . in as much as leaving them alone to do as they want. but i also have some anti democratic ideas that i'm sure no one agrees with unless they're willing to think them out, like there has to be some type of limit on personal success. i know its hard to swallow and i won't pretend to have any answers. but when a very minute number of people hold all the power because of their financial strangle hold it's the same as a dictatorship . but worse because most people don't know who is causing the chaos. but the banking "industry" is at the head of the list. if the people can't control who gets elected much less influence who is selected as a candidate it hardly seems to be a free election.

Being an animal rights activist or a vegetarian is a luxury of the very wealthy (societal wealth on a world scale). Poor societies cannot choose what they eat. They have to eat whatever is available in order to subsist. This issue stems largely from the urbanization of our culture. People no longer have to raise their food and have no real connection with animals. They have watched Walt Disney movies and have a house cat and that is the sum total of their animal knowledge.
I also believe that âthe governmentâ does not really want people to be self-reliant. And who is more self-reliant than a hunter? What they want is all the people packed into cities so they canât catch or grow their own food and are therefore completely dependent on the government.
The animal rights activists will not ever be satisfied with any gains or changes. In the 70âs they came for the dogfighters. Everyone else who worked with animals turned their backs on them because they thought to themselves: âThey are despicable & cruel. They need to be gotten rid of. I am not like that. They will not come for me once they get rid of them.â They did not see the true threat that the AR agenda posed. But, look where we are now. Now they are after farmers, hunters, rodeos, circuses, horseracing and the list goes on and on. If all these folks who work with animals in anyway had come together in the beginning they would have never gotten a foothold.
In 1986 in the introduction to his book âHunters Allâ Brian Plummer talks of the eventual end of all hunting with dogs in England because of the progressive agenda of the animal rights activists. It was a very prescient observation.
Are we that far behind?
