most parents I talk to about common core don't even know anything about it. they don't remember bill ayres being a homeland terrorist let alone knowing about him being one of the main developers of the common core standards. when I try to explain it to them, they roll their eyes and think I am another whacko right winger. the progs have slipped this into our schools with out any resistance from parents thru phony media. what really baffles me is that the parents I try to talk to,, love their children yet they wont take the time to verify what it is I am saying to them....it will go down in history as a tragic back door assault on our way of life. jmo

The funny thing is, as a parent of two Common core students and one with IB as well, is that there IS some good things about some of the methods that they teach. BUT ramming it down parents throats with little to no discussion or collaboration is wrong.

Also, in the meme of " let no crisis go to waste", the Federal government used the financial crisis of the 2008 time period when states were cash strapped to offer the states/schools large checks of cash to fund their state's schools IF they adopted CC standards. So the blame not only rest with the Federal gooberment but more so with the STATE you live in.

Furthermore and probably more dangerous is the DATA mining that is taking place. There are something like 200 data points that are being collected about our children that ARE SOLD just like any other "lead" that you can buy for marketing purposes.

thing about funding is, first the gov threatened cuts but if you want this GRANT money for you're schools then you have to accept cc along with it. thank god in my area, we didn't bite. sports took a hit but we still have them and the community and parents kick in for some that cant or wont afford it. this all fell inline with the "we are going to shut down the gov" and that meant parks, postal, stuff like that. didn't mean ending lavish trips and parties the elite in gov enjoy just the stuff we hired them to do.
