For those of you that hunt with lifted vehicles do you ever have any trouble with dogs loading or unloading? Especially with really young or very old dogs. If you do how do you guys handle it? I have seen some vehicles with drop down steps to help the dogs. I only ask because my normal hunting rig has seen better days but I also have my Tacoma which has a 6in lift. I might end up having to use it this year if I can't get my other rig in "shape". Just looking for some ideas. Thanks!

i have a tundra with a 4 inch suspension lift and my dogs have trouble.i have one dog that will go for it but none of the others. usually they will go put there front legs up and wait for me to throw um up. i just told my son yesterday that we have to come up with some type of fold down step or something.

I raised 2 Walkers from pups, I gave them a treat, usually homemade jerky, in the truck box every time I loaded them. It didn't take long until they were jumping in my standard Tacoma by themselves. If the tailgate is closed they go over the side with no help. I don't need a lease just pull the truck close to the pens put a treat in the box and turn the two loose.
I have other hounds that were adults when I got them, they get treats also but I have to lift them up.
I think you will have a hard time keeping them out if you train them right as pups.
