How do you guys ship a pup these days? Does anybody still ship by air? Who are the dog haulers, and would you use any of them?
Any of them go to Virginia?

David, I have used, Whoa Nellie, with good results. And the pups he hauled for me came from Virginia.
I am planning to head back to Virginia after we ship calves and I finish up guiding my antelope hunters. If need be and depending on your time frame, I might could be persuaded to haul something for you.

David ,the airlines are such a pain because they won't ship unless the temperature is just right.
I had 2 different pups shipped out by hauler with no problems .I used Redwing but it was expensive. $300 a pup several years back.
I drove to Montana a couple years ago to pick up pups because it was so darn expensive.

Air is a pain and it doesn't seem to matter what airline. My experience is its going to be a grand to ship when its all added up. But if you fly with a puppy you can often get a discount flight and carry on the pup for free. So if you have a day or so and don't mind flying that might be the way to go.

Sounds like it's time to make a drive out, I bet the guys your getting a pup from would put you up for a week, feed you, and take you hunting. Ive always hear August and September were great months to go hunting in Va. Lol
