Just came back from NH recently . Whilst driving a reasonably busy road ,saw a hound go across the road. This is prime bear country . Pulled over and listened to see if the hound was going well and to see if more were coming so I could look after them as they went through any traffic that may come along . Was only a single dog .Within a few minutes the owner came along and I told him what i'd seen and his GPS confirmed where his dog was
Went and helped him round up the hound and all was well , Saw the same guy and a couple of his friends a few days later walking along the road ,gave them a ride back to their truck. Got a thank you both times from the gentleman . Didn't take but a few minutes of my time on each occasion to help out another hounds man albeit i'm on the other side of the world from home. Happy to see the hound safely recovered and get a handshake from the owner ,Was happy to see someone appreciate that I was trying to help out

Then you get those Tree hugging animal lovers that try to screw everything up . I tell them what they are doing is against the law and a short arguement and sometimes just lay them out and get on with the hunt lol . but yes when I see dogs or here them I gotta go see what's going on if help is needed I all for it .
Hunt hard cull hard !

Re: Other people's dogs
There was no way I was going to interfere with the hunt other than make sure , that if any other dogs came along got across the road safely .If the dog had treed a bear I would have walked in with my camera . I was happy the way the owner of the dog saw that I was there to help and thanked me .
