Hey guys, idk how many members here are from Arizona or know the unit but thought I'd ask here anyway. I drew the Dec coues tag for 22, and trying to save time and money but not bringing a ton of food with me. I would love to do some fishing. Does anyone know of any good little spots to catch a few trout to make a meal? Maybe some bluegill also?
I'm not counting on killing a buck this first weekend unless it will break 110". So can't really rely on fresh coues meat for a meal lol.
Thanks for any info.

You can always head a little east and go to Tonto creek south of the fish hatchery. There might be some on Fossil creek but it can be quite the drive to get in there. I think the east verde runs around up there too. The azgfd should have more info. Good luck on both. PM me and I can tell ya where I've seen some whitetails in 22 south.
