Bullet proof tieouts
Bullet proof tieouts
Guys i need a little help ( or free advertising ) Ive been running dogs for over thirty years and welding for a bit longer . I started making some tie out stakes about twenty years ago and the first one i ever made im still using .There have been some changes to the original along the way to make them better . They are 24 inch, 36 inch, and 48 inch, the longer ones can be left out of the ground more to stay above snow and have wings welded on so they dont tilt . I have one at the shop thats 16 inches that we use to show it has been in and out of the ground fifty times or more over the years it looks rough but still works like it should. With a twelve foot chain my jeep wont pull it out of the ground. I want to get a video today showing how it works , and ill send one to someone that has some big rough dogs so they can test it . You guys let me know who you think would be the best. Right now they are 65.00 but i havent been buying material in bulk for them i know i can get that down some just dont know how much. Over the years i have fould myself having to travel more and more every year for work so i am trying to set up more for inhouse work that can be shiped. PLEASE let me know if you think this is something you would be intrested in. Thanks in advance. Ken Keffer

I love the sound of it. But it sounds like over kill for any dog I have owned. If you can't pull it out with a jeep, I would think you could find a good market for it. I would like to own one or two to use in conjunction with a come-along to pull my truck out of uncomfortable situations. I wonder if mule people would like them? For dogs, a good trap stake/swivel system has been all I ever needed, but I never kept large wild dogs.
Re: Bullet proof tieouts
A dog that is active (ready to go ) all the time . Or one with a high prey drive ( chases birds, rats, cats, ect.) can hit the end of a chain thousands of times in a year. Those blows ad up. A dog that is going to go hunting if it gets loose in the middle of the woods dragging a chain with a grapple hooked to it is gonna get hung up then wraped up with no tracking unit on. Unless by chance it gets found it is going to die, plane and simple. I started building these because i wanted my dogs to be where i left them , I didnt want them to wrap a chain around the steak and be stuck there untill i got back ( every tree hugger, anti hound ,anti hunting liberal would love to get a picture of a hung up dog ) then have to untangle a mess when i got home after a days work. A dog that cant get to water or shade during the summer in the south is a dead dog, im going to go out on a limb and say the same holds true for a dog that cant take shelter during the winter up north.IF sticks or leaves get pulled to the center the higher swivel point help to clear this out so it doesnt get bound up as easy. That is why they are built stout the more that is sticking out of the ground the more leverage is on it when it gets pulled , I plan on hunting hounds for many years so i wanted something that i never had to replace. So if you enjoy dealing with wraped up chains ,dont care if the dog gets hung up, plan on quitting the sport in a couple of years or plan and simply your dogs dont hunt then you are correct this is not the system for you.

I'm just starting on my marketing. New to this so it's a learning curve. It would probably be to hard to get out unless you had a puller .let me dig around here I still have a winch anchor I was building years ago, that's one I haven't thought about in years. I'll pm you some pictures when I find it.
