Hernia?

Post by newby »

Just got a new pup and noticed a little protrusion around her belly-button. When I push on it, it seems to disappear. Is this a hernia, and is it dangerous? What can or should I do about it. I noticed all the pups in the litter had it. Did the momma just trim the cord a little too much? It's not big, just a little odd looking. Thanks for the advice.

I had 2 pups out of last litter that had that and I think your right about the mom chewing it of a little too short. But mine didnt get very big and i didnt have the money so i just left it and they are 3 years old now, you cant even tell now. It looked goofy as hell all the way to a year old. Its still their it dosent bother them and its really tight but it doesnt stick out. Thats just what i did, if you got the money you mise as well fix it.
