CONVISCATED DOGS
CONVISCATED DOGS
I recently saw where a WI man was arrested on two felonly charges of bear poaching. The dogs and equipment envolved in the crimes were conviscated and lodged. What becomes of these hounds after the person is convicted ??? Anybody got any insights???
Re: CONVISCATED DOGS
If he is found guilty the hounds will most likely be turned over to a animal "welfare" facility. They maybe sold rehomed or euthanized. Depending on who is in control of the facility. This is the primary reason any houndsman should do what ever is possible from letting a typical hysterically anti hunting establishment from getting possession of their hounds. Occasionally these dogs are killed before a conviction is ever handed down. This is unfortunate but typical when on fraction of two disagreeing parties is given power of any kind over the other. Especially in a grey area such as hunting dogs or livestock.

Thats a sad deal right there, I would think that any true houndsman would never be involed in any type of illegal activity. That being said maybe these anti's outa pull there heads outa there ass and place the dogs with people thats best for the dogs.
Lions and Coues....What else is there
