BC Lynx/Lion hunt

Post by NICK RILEY »

My brother Matt and I just got back from a hunt with Doug McMann (Chilcotin hillbilly). Matt took a big Tom cougar (15 1/2 green) and we both shot Lynx. We both had a great time and thought it was one of the best hunts we had ever been on. Truly a hound mans dream!
Thanks again Doug! I'll try to post more about the hunt when I have time.

Thanks for the comments.
We only ran lynx for three days but I thought they were harder to tree than bobcat.JMO
I took my Lynx with a longbow and Matt shot his lion and lynx with a re-curve.
There were two leopards in the pictures(one black and tan color), a walker and a half Black and Tan, 1/4 border collie, Shepard/lab

Is one of those leopards the sire or dame to the dog that siskiyou john has?

David we did not wiegh the cat but he was between 170 and 180 I would think. he was a cranker foresure. Nick and Matt where great guys to hunt with and good examples of what houndsmen should strive to act like. Looking forward to hunting with both again once Obama is out of the White house.
