What should I do?

Postby tlewis_2003 » Sun Dec 11, 2011 1:51 pm

I had my dog bee line last night for probably a mile or better. I would think deer. I have turned this dog out rihgt on a deer just to see if she would chase it. She ran right where it was standing and never paid it any attention. I can't get her to open on a coon. Last night she was all open on that track. You guys think it was a deer? Or maybe some other kind of trash? Maybe a yote? I don't know am at a lose.

if it lined out I would say a coyote most the time a deer will circle and don't think just because she won't take a deer in front of you that she is deer broke. a coyote race sounds real good til you figure out what it is

Had a walker that did just that before idk if you have a Harmon or not but my female would look for hot coon if she couldn't find one she would either take off for a mile or better or run the edge of the woods for miles and come it turned out to be coyote. I'd see if you have a coyote pen nearby and take ur dog there with a shocker if you can and shock her wen she gets on coyotes

I was thinking coyote to. But last couple times out she has treed two coons and put something in a hole. She doing alot better than when I got her. I just pulled her off the hole and praised the heck out of her on the trees. She is dead silent on a coon track so that is another reason I think it was a yote before.
