I have a dog that when at the tree he will run up to me and put his front feet on me while he is treeing. As if to say I got him dad. I had a dog years ago that would bite my coat sleeve at the tree . What are some of the different things u have seen dogs do that makes them stand out .

One male that I have JC does the same thing. Hurts my ears when he does it. Each dog has its own quirks. I've seen alot of dogs that will smile when excited in the walkers here.

Had a very pleasant dog to be around. But if you had a sandwich in your hands you better be on constant guard or you would loose your sandwich and get your fingernails clipped in one big gulp.

I have identified different personalities in all my dogs. I have a male that has had me thinking he's some sort of wizard at times, I've seen him do things I can't explain more than once. Other times, on easy races, he seems lazy and uninvolved. . . .

Always, he will come off the tree on my approach and greet me at about 30-40 yards out. Bawling his head off and wanting a pat of approval for a job well done. If not received, you can bet that upon closer approach to the tree, during the photo portion of the hunt, he will circle and lift his leg. . . . peeing on your boots. As long as I recognize his efforts and give him some approval, no problem. If I or others in the hunting party fail to give him credit upon request, his answer is always "well then, piss on you". . . . funny actually!

The best hound I ever had would mock charge me every time I let her out of the kennel.
Then wiggle her whole body along with her tail right after. Made me laugh every time.

She would tree extra hard if I walked up next to her at the tree and layed a hand on the off side of her ribs. Sure miss her big canyon voice and her personality.
