Mass on puppy's jaw

Post by scottb »

Have an 11-12 week old male pup with a mass on the bottom of his mandible. Vet took x-rays... no trauma or bone damage. Drained it and it filled up in 3 days. Golf ball sized. Pup is not bothered by it at all and acts well. Pup is a cross but out of long time linebreeding. Food is Kirkland puppy with a splash of fish oil and some lamb milk replacer. Vet was stumped and obviously I am too. a bit early for cancer I've been told. any experience or advice is greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

Had a pointer after a few vet visits to drain the mass figured out it was his salivary gland but sounds like something similar

I had this happen to a pup about the same age at about the same time of year.....cheat grass stuck in his lip.
