Bean patch Kitty!

Post by Rod Vinson »

I pulled up at the hunting club to run some young fox in the green soybeans. There was a few fox tracks up and down the path and the mutts acted like they could smell them a little. This morning was the coolest we have had since last winter, with the wind blowing about 10 mph out of the NNE with very little dew... Thought is was going to be one of those days that was a waste of time.... Well ole Psycho was twirling her tail like a helicopter and soon others joined her like they were making the breeze kick up another 5 mph... Then she struck and a couple more chimed in, then silent and they came back out of the beans into the road.... so we trotted on and soon Robin and Psycho darted into the beans and started back to opening......this time with more excitement... Reese joined in and things started to move at a good pace then Robin squalled out here he goes... then they all hit the beans and jumped around in them like jack and the box, so I cleared the bench and it was on like donkey kong for the next 15 minutes they were up and down the bean rows, relaying on him and taking the slack out of the rope.... soon it was a solid roar which was a big echo and then the boxing match begin with the cat getting the worst end of it.... then you could see the steam cloud come up out of the beans..... a sign of the end of the rope!!! Boy I love a kitty race!
