GLONASS Satellites
Did not Russian President Putin freeze our use of these Satellites in response to our Ukrainian Sanctions?

Re: GLONASS Satellites
There is no way that Garmin could have known that was going to happen when they started building the TT15 collar (which I'm assuming was over a year ago).
My guess is that when it all started going down they were so far into it that they just said "release them anyways and hope we get the GLONASS back."

Re: GLONASS Satellites
Why is there so much hype about the GLONASS anyway? The Motorola Satellite seemed to work quite well here in the States.
After checking sources today the GLONASS is "Frozen" for US and European users indefinitely.
So if the Good Comms we are experiencing is not DUE to the GLONASS, then why all the HYPE over something RUSSIANS....last time I checked they AIN'T our Friends!

Re: GLONASS Satellites
The hype is because the Glonass provides better coverage than the US satellites do. I own some hitech professional grade survey equip and it all operates on both systems. The Glonass locks in first the vast majority of the time, gives a stronger signal in the dark timber on those north slopes and has more total birds in the air.
As for the political connotation...I would much rather have Russia as a friend than those slant eyed yellow bellied Chinks that hold the note on this country and the rights to our natural resources that Hillarious just pledged over to them as collateral on the overdue note!!!!

Re: GLONASS Satellites
at work our gps have been throwing points all over the place..not accurate. I heard some grumbling that it was because of the Russians.
