These pups are 3/4 walker 1/4 bloodhound! 5males, 1female available
$200
Parents are hunted on lion, bears, bobcats, and coons, and are very obedient
Their sire is a Nance,Clover bred walker/Bloodhound cross he is a 40lbs athletic built dog, he is a head up fast track dog with a colder nose, excellent locate hard tree dog with tough feet. He is quite around the house and easy to get along with. He has two litters on the ground and they are making excellent big game hounds( I have references on his pups).
Mother is a UKC Registered walker, she is heavy Finley river bred. She is a 35lb athletetic fast hound that can really cover some ground, She is young but has been making races since 6 months old she is a head up fast track dog with a medium nose, she is super gritty and a hard natural tree dog! She has a booming voice but is very quite around the house, she loves attention!
These pups are going to make excellent big game hounds!
They turned 6 weeks old on 12/18/2018 and are ready to go! They have had their first shots and have been wormed, pups located in northern Utah. I want these pups to go to hunters!

I don’t need a pup, but enjoyed the photos. They are some really interesting and good looking pups. I would sure enjoy seeing a picture of the father if you have one, and one of the pups on his feet if you have one. You can really see the blood hound in some of them. Again, I am not a buyer, so it is just if you have the time.

I am surprised he runs head-up. Pretty cool.

Thanks David I like the way they turned out, yeah he runs a track just like his mom who is the nance/clover bred walker he is a little quieter on track then her, and has a better nose. Him and his mom will grub a older track he just moves it a little quicker, but when it warms up they both lift their heads and move out. My favorite quality of his is how one tracked minded he is he will stick with whatever track he starts almost to a fault. That and the nose is what he got from his dad:)

Thank you. He is a handsome boy. I dot know how the pups will end up, but some of them look more blood hound than their dad. That stuff is so interesting to me. I know a breeder who says voice and nose are sex linked. And I can’t remember which way he said. But it is interesting that yours got his dad’s nose, but his moms style of using it On a jumped track, except that he won’t switch tracks which is a bloodhound trait. If you were a government hunter or a trophy hunter and needed the dog to stay on a certain lion no matter how old the track was, you would have a gold mine right there.

Would you say he sounds more like his dad; or a male version of his moms voice?

Will sure be interesting to see how traits are dispersed with the pups of this cross. Like, I wonder if the more blood hound looking ones will have the coldest nose, and won’t switch to hotter tracks etc.? It’s fascinating stuff.

I had an accidental mating of an extremely cold nosed male hound to a hot nosed female cur. The pup I kept became very valuable to me and anyone else who hunted with her. She was EXTREMELY cold nosed and a top shelf rig dog, Maybe even better than her dad at these; but she sounded like a cur. Her color came from mom, and her conformation came right smack in the middle between the two. For both you and I, the nose came from the father.

His dad has a loud booming bawl mouth like most bloodhounds, the type of mouth we wish all our hounds have. His mom has a quick chop voice on track and tree. His is a little deeper(probably because he is a male) he has a quick chop on track, when it heats up, when he is cold trailing he just lets out a yip every now and again)but when he trees it’s like a half hearted bawl:) he is pretty 50/50 between traits of his mom and dad. I have three buddies that have litter mates to my male two males and a female one male is identical to my blood hound just a little smaller has the same booming voice and is a track straddler intense track dog, the other two are identical in every way to mine, size, voice, and track style. They are really fun dogs to hunt.

The last 3/4walker 1/4bloohound pups I had looked really houndy as pups but kind of grew out of it, this is my buddies 8month old female out of my male and my other walker female getting it done on lion:)
