remember when doc's give the life expectancy it is an average so some dogs that are given the 3 months may only make a few day and other months beyond the estimated time of death. There are always going to be a chance one doc is right or wrong. Did you get a second opinion, after all even the best doc is just giving you his educated guess.

Re: lmpthoma
I posted this last night on the UKC forum on the same subject.
She went went from being a healthy looking hound to dropping weight quickly. ABout a week before she passed, she went blind. Vet thinks that the tumor I had removed from her eyelid 2 years earlier may had spread to her eyes.
I have never seen a dog go from healthy to like that in a little less than 2 months.
I hope a second opinion gives you a different diagnosis.
She was fine then all of sudden her health deterorated quickly. She went downhill and then took a second life and then went down hill even quicker....When quality of life went down, that is when I called the vet out to the house.I had one put down a few days before christmas with full blown lymphoma in all lymph nodes.
From my understanding life expectancy at that stage is about 2 months and that's about how long she lived at that stage.
She was an old hound and I let nature runs it's course on the old girl until I stepped in and called a vet out to put her down when the cancer finally took it's toll.
About 2 years prior, I had a tumor removed on one of her inside eyelids.
When the cancer started in the lymph nodes, it came like a tornado and spread quickly.
Here is a story of a guy who treated one with it.
