Last nights after work bobcat pic.
I caught this fella last night after work. You will have to read the Oregon Sporting Dog News letter to get the whole story (if they print it..Hint hint), but I will say it involves a box of 22 shells, 4 trees, two of which I climbed, a dog vs. cat fight and a chainsaw at midnight.....

Yea...Her name is Dink. She is showing well recently. She was raising my eye brows earlyer in the season around the tree but is doing much better now.

Re: Last nights after work bobcat pic.
A couple of young fellas with a half case of beer between them on the seat and one between their legs stopped to shoot the breeze at 1am in the back woods. Good kids really just staying out of town.
Besides....anyone woman that would have witnessed that would have headed straight to Portland to marry a tree hugger. Not saying that I haven't met a few gals that would have been flipping a coin to run the saw. LOL

Re: Last nights after work bobcat pic.
Nice job, Don. I've had a few of those days. I've been getting out a little. We caught three this weekend and got beat by one but it was the last one we ran and I think the dogs were pooped. Got beat again today but it was a good race. They put him in a hole and a young dog pulled him out and the race was on again. The pup got some pretty good holes but she'll be fine. They put him on a windfall after that and he rested a bit and ran again and we stopped them when they crossed the road. I don't know why I ever decided to quit because I'm having a blast. lol

Re: Last nights after work bobcat pic.
Mine eats brush for breakfast.LOL She is only about 35 pounds and moves like the wind. She is a bit flat footed but her feet are tough.
This cat weighed 26 pounds on a certified scale. I know it sounds like a kitten to some of the bobcats I have seen on this site but our cats seem to be built tall and racey. Big bobcats seem to be very hard to come across these days. The biggest one I have harvested was 31 pounds and that same year I took 4 29 pound toms. Boy do I miss the good ol' days.
Ok...I just got ahold of this gal that called to have me take care of a problem cat lastnight and she said I could post the pic of her and the cat that killed one of her lambs lastnight right in front of her, the Daughter and hubby. Look at the paw on the right...It had been in a trap.

Re: Last nights after work bobcat pic.
I had the cat that killed the lamb weighed this morning. I guessed it at 25lbs and it weighed 24lbs.
This has been a crazy week for me. I was out again last night on a cougar hunt. No luck but I did get a good wag on a 24 hour old track.
