Your opinion

Post by Big Horn Posse »

Hey guys,

As most of you know I am planning on getting things going again with the hounds and wanted to give my website a fresh look and add more too it. I have many photos I do not have up on there of the hounds and the game they have treed over the past 8 or 9 years and would like your input on making the site better for the viewer. A few things I am considering are thebackground. Should I change it to a solid color or leave it with the lion tracks? Also should I add a photo album instead of putting photos on pages of relavence? Any feedback would be appreciated. :)

Thanks,

Tessa

Tessa,

I'm not web design expert, but I do have a little experience. Creating contrast on your home page will do wonders. I would pick your favorite color and make it your background, then use a contrasting color for the text. Picture albums are always the best way.. it does a couple of things; Helps the pages load faster, and keeps things cleaner on each page. Our website isn't the best, but it was done very inexpensively, and if you know someone that has experience with ColdFusion the small investment is worth it. Take a look at ours and maybe you'll get some ideas... I like simple, as you will see.

I am adding a photo album right now. Might take me awhile as I have a lot of photos. I do want to give the site a makeover so to speak. I originally made it back in 2002 and it is a bit dated. I think the photo album will help and you will be able to see the images at full size and even leave comments :) I will post when I have it up. I think you guys will appreciate a lot of the photos. I like to take photos of everything when I am on the mountain.
