Re: Oregon Cougars
Great to see you guys putting something together in Oregon! If you can, please let me know what steps need to be taken to get something rolling in Washington. I think we would like to try and get the bear hunting back here in Washington State, since they are still being hunted by a small selected group similar to the Goverment Hunters- but coordinated by the WFPA. I will also contact some folks I know in Oregon and make sure they sign your petition. Good Luck!
WORK IS FOR THOSE THAT DON'T KNOW HOW TO HUNT WITH HOUNDZ

Re: Oregon Cougars
Why cougars and not bears...
We must dig our heels in and get the political winds in our favor. Cougars are threatening our farmers, our kids and our game populations.
We see that bears are doing the same but it is not widely known by the general public.
We have got a lot of people willing to help the cause. if we go out and lose then we will lose support. We cannot afford to do that.

Re: Oregon Cougars
As far as getting something going in Washington, contact Buddy. He posted on this thread and would be your best connection. I am not up to date on the current situation in Washington. I did hear that a child was just attacked by a cougar recently near Mt. St. Helens.

Re: Oregon Cougars
Please send me your petitions so I can get them by Thanksgiving. I would like to know if we hit our 2000 signature goal before then so that if I need to set up camp in front of Sportsman's Warehouse the day after Thanksgiving I can. I have about 1300 signatures in hand right now. I know we have at least 1500 more out there in your hands but they do us no good unless you send them in. If you still can get more WE NEED THEM!
