Re: Hounddoggers and Divorce
I've been married for 17 years and she only likes the hounds when there puppies, after six months they are no longer cute and are a burden. But I wear the pants in our relationship and when i say something it is final!

Piglet; I got a culled plott I will bet against you that you do NOT have the NADS to show that posting to your wife
Actually I find the keys to a successful marraige to be:
Always let the wife think she has won every disagreement
Always tell her YOU should have listened to her in the first place
Always ask her opinion even though you have decided something else
Always Praise her often for her Cooking and cleaning abilitie
Always tell her how LUCKY YOU ARE to have her
ALWAYS SEEMS TO WORK FOR ME

Big D for me and i guarantee it was worse than anyone's here. Still is. Been 3 years and i still cant see my kids without a supervisor. i never never never ever ever did anything to her or them either just to make that clear. Not even as much as getting face to face with her. NEVER DID IT. I have 57 sanctioned cage fights with an official present and that fact (among some others) has made a mess for me. I have never been in a real fight in my life ever. Dont have a contensious spirit at all. Just love to compete.

Re: Hounddoggers and Divorce
was married for 6 years and thats it. wont ever get married again. i know dont say that you wont ever do anything but thats a fact. i have 3 beautiful kids that i wouldnt trade for anything. well maybe a nice started catdog. just joking. my kids like hunting the dogs just as much or more than i do so i kinda made out on that. i could care less because i am married to my kids and second to my dogs. they are all my life. thats what i want and need and thats all i could ever ask for.

Re: Hounddoggers and Divorce
i have been married for 8 years but we have been together for 10. we have had our ups and downs but we both still hang in there. one thing that i am learning about this whole marriage thing is that there is always another day to hunt. if there is a family thing or something for the kids, you can always go hunting tomorrow. early on i would miss a lot of things because i was out hunting and that caused a lot of tension but i am trying to get better with that and realize family is first and hunting is second.

Been with the same guy 25 years--legal for 19. Volatile for all 25. Never lied to him until I took up this hound dogging stuff.
Those redbones are just pets as far as he is concerned. He has no idea that I run them on bears. Well, he would know if he thought about why I have a bear chase license, why I go coonhunting at dawn so much, and what those messages on the answering machine from my "moron friends" [yup, that's what he calls us] are. He just thinks I like to hang around with younger men and doesn't care to think about what we might be doing! If some guy in a vehicle full of hounds pulls up, he goes out to pet the hounds and then disappears into his studio. If I come home limping with hounds bloody, he yells at me for letting the hounds get hurt. Somehow the part with the bear never comes up.
