I think if I could continually produce a good, consistant line of hounds the likelyhood of a superstar or two popping up in my life would be substantially increased. Even if the superstars can't duplicate themselves....they will likely produce the average of their lineage....................... good consistent hounds.

Now if I can just get the first half right

Been basically running a puppy pack with a couple of seasoned veterans thrown in all fall and it's been decent, in fact I would say it's been good.

Until today

First real dose of winter. Fresh powdery snow, -15 celcius ( about 10 degrees F I think) with a relative humidity in the low 70's.
We found one........ and it sounded great for about 10 minutes and that was it.

Every flaw in the pack was all too visable. Ten minutes and winter has just begun.

Hopefully spring comes quickly

I understand exactly what you are talking about. Not sure if that is a good thing

I'm not sure either. I wish I knew the answer.

I'd have to give my partners dog-Pepper my vote. Not a flashy dog,but a consistant cold nosed strike, track, locate and tree dog on bobcat.Don't know how she'd be on anything else, she's probably the cleanest and straightest dog I've ever been around.

Riverbottom,

You hit it on the Head.

Dad will breed to the Gifted Smart Hound but has never had two at the same time to breed to. Therefor the Solid get the bid and we enjoy the special when they happen!
