radar your a dumb ass.......... and part of the reason its so hard to make a dog anymore is with people like you uneducated/braindead there ought to be a class or some type of test to keep morons/you out of the hills. wow.... let it walk. one day it will be a nice cat one worth braggin about. if you cant tell on a pic then you wont be able to tell in person with adrenaline pumpin. one cat is all anyone needs take pics to prove your catch if you have somethin to prove but killin more than one trophy tom is ridiculous and any female is a downright shame.

I haven't seen one that big but i wouldn't shoot him....costs too much to do anything with them. Take a pic and frame it on your wall for about $10.00 compared to $3,500.00

I'd rather show a pup a track a few times then to shoot one cat out to them, but i also run a bunch of culls.....we have to cut there tails off or they would just chase themselves in circles all day long.

that is the kind of personality that alot of people dont like. YOU DONT NEED TO SHOOT GAME OUT TO YOUNG DOGS OR ANY DOG TO MAKE GOOD DOGS! If they got the right stuff they will make dogs if YOU know how to hunt and find game (tracks) then you are on the right track. Kill everything you catch and you wont have anything to run. Get a Clue man!

I wouldn't shoot that cat, just doesn't look like the trophy tom I'm after.

Radar I would have let him go. IM assuming your really new to hounds or have hunted with the wrong type of people. I say people instead of houndsmen for a reason. Im not going to call you a dumbass or anything like that but you really should rethink your ideas of killing just to "MAKE A DOG". If you stay in to hounds for some time then Im sure you will grow out of the killing stage or youll quit because it will get to hard to find something to run with your dogs.
P.S. when you tree a defenite shooter you wont even need to think about whether it big enough or not, same goes for bears. When you first thought at the treee is "thats one big S.O.B." its more then likely a shooter.

Nice lion, as any lion a guy puts up, is a good lion. You made a good choice on not taking him.

A pointer point. A retrieve retrieves. A border collie herds, And a trail hound, trails, that's what they do!

Buy a good camera and take a ton of pictures, that will last longer than a ratty old lion mount that at the time you were proud of. Take pride in the development of your hounds, and don't let others persuade you to take something because they think that "pulling hair is the only way to make dogs." Look at a lot of lions and when you see that trophy you won't have to ask someone for their opinion.

Nice lion, man I wish we had tree's in Nevada instead of lots of rocks and mine shafts LOL. And to the whole kill every thing to make a dog. One jump out is better then 10 kills. Its better for your dogs and in the long run its better for you and your state of mind.
