Not trying to nock anybody but...
I think ALOT of people are really over looking the blood lines here!
Consider Dave Dean's Hounds.
Dave is founder of Northern Blue Hammer of 54years.
If you want a dog of the same caliber. example Jbs Cheif , Diamond Jim = Dave Dean
Dave is awesome to deal with and is still hunting his own dogs.
Talked to Dave alot about the ( Smokey River ) lines. he told me that Warren Housler and Himself traded dogs back and forth for their breeding programs. Dave is the only Breeder to have the most Grand Champs in the bluetick bloodlines
A friend of mine has been buying dogs from Dave since the early 80's and his friends had been buying long before that.
My Grandfather has always ran Smoky Rivers since I could crawl, Awesome dogs.

My dogs have a lot of Smokey River Chief and Upson Blue Boy II in their pedigrees. I love the Smokey River for grit, tree and nose. I like the Blue Boy II for confirmation and more speed, sometimes I think it is working...
Adios,
Gary

My kennel partner and I just had a litter of pups last week, out of a litter of nine pups we have 3 males left. They are going fast to local hunters. We have not even advertised the litter yet anywhere. His female is heavy SR bred on top. Hers is her top side and is from Lyonel Charles breeding of Sweet Springs, Mo.

GRNITCH SMOKEY RIVER CHIEF'S JOE NITECH SMOKEY RIVER JBS CHIEF
GRNITCH SMOKEY RIVER JEANS BLUE RUBY

NITECH SMOKEY RIVER BLUE BUCK

PR SMOKEY RIVER BLUE MOGGINS NITECH SMOKEY RIVER BLUE GRUBBY
PR SMOKEY RIVER BLUE DIZZY
The sire of the litter is loaded up with Smokey River Chief and many other SR dogs including Diam. Jim a couple times. This should make a very good cross, both sire and dam are naturals.
