You guys make very interesting reading. I see Val Robb's name has surfaced. Irrespective it seems that I am in the right company here with the same interests at heart. Men that want hounds that are bred for " Quality , Performance , Results. " How are the Robb boys getting on with their hounds ?

Somewhere we could probably find links of our hounds back to a few of those strains but that may prove to be difficult at this late stage.

What I need to know is will I be going in the wrong direction by find a cross to our hounds from a partially related or seperate proven bloodline that has all the desired traits we want in our hounds ? We have not introduced that kind of breeding for many generations now and I would like an outcross at this point.

Ike it's pretty much the way we have done it amongst a few of us. Though very limited in terms of worthiness as their are to few of us that are like minded. We have tried to encourage a number of fellows to raise the same type of BGH ( Cat Hounds ) as we have by litteraly giving them pups but to no avail. They just got plum to little between the ears to do anything worthwhile. Trev and I could give them a kennel of our hounds and tell them to carry on. Within a year or two you could go visit them and THEIR hounds would look like antbears crossed with angora goats. Truth is their are actually to few of us here in comparison to the depth you guys have.

Trev and I are the only guys here trying to keep this particular strain going and I believe we are due for some injection of your guy's blood being discussed here. The similarities are to close I believe for us to be making a massive mistake.

You guys know by now what type of hound I like, I'll be waiting till one of you has something you're prepared to sell that you would be proud to have in your own packs.Ideally i'd like an excellent proven bitch in pup to an excellent male from those strains shipped over here. I dont know how the hell I'm going to afford doing that but that would be my goal.
