Wow!!! It's good to see so many responses to my question. It's also good to know that we will be talking hounds in heaven. I have been a Christian since 1987. For the past ten years I have pastored a small country church down the road about five miles. The church building itself is the old grade school that I attended for eight years. In the past we were going through pastors about every two years. One day I felt led to offer to be the pastor. My family has been on this ranch since 1887 and in this area since 1877. I figured that I wasn't going anywhere unless the Lord directed me, and so I offered and they accepted. I am only a lay pastor. I have not had any training or siminary education. It has been an interesting journey however and one I will never regret making. God Bless all of you that responded and God Bless America. May we always maintain our freedom to share our faith, hunt our dogs, and work our horses.

Not to Hi-Jack you post but have a prayer request. My dad (62) was just told his cancer spread and he only has 1 month to live. Pray he will repent and seek God before his time is up. Were all praying and talking to him but the more people praying the better.
Thanks all.

Glad to stand up and be counted among you guys on this post. I accepted Christ at eleven years old on the side of the road with some guy walking around with his Bible.

Bear Hunter, I will be more than glad to pray for your father. I have lost track of all the answered prayer I or our church has witnessed. If you like you could PM me with more information and I would be glad to visit with your dad if possible. God Bless, Guy

I accepted Jesus Christ when I was 20 so my feeble memory tells me that was 34 yrs ago that Christ brought me out of the pit! Although it took me another 20 to realize that my relationship with Him was up to me to use and tell others about. Who would have ever thought that He would use me to stand up in front of others and lead worship songs out of tune. lol Free from the chains! Jim Mitzkus
