I had a pm telling me who that loyde guy was and why I am "in over my head". No, loyde doesn't know me but he was on the same mountain as me a few years back. I turned out on a lion and bayed it on the edge of a 300 ft cliff. a freind of mine was turned out a long ways away and his dogs heard my dogs and came to join in. long story short we had way to many dogs and two leashes(completely my fault for not being prepared) I had a tag in my pocket and about the time the cat grabbed my lead dog and tried to throw him to his death I Let her have it. Ya I said her. old female, didn't weight 100 lbs. What was I gona do let her kill my whole pack? anyways loyde and his brother (Who I know through a freind and like) were guiding a client on the same unit and in some rough conditions they were having a hard time getting anything going. My freind that knows them told a relative of theirs that we had caught a lion up there and the next day they were in there poundin it. I think they were a little mad when they found out we killed it or something I don't know. then I get on here and preach how utah should do female sub quotas and we shouldn't kill females and to them I probably look like a huge hippocrit. they also have a different take on killin females than I do. I do not mean any disrespect to them or have any hard feelings, I just don't see the need to run me down to other hunters that also have never met me.
Mike, I did my homework and that is the best I can make of it. maybe you have some more reasons why I am "over my head" and should "hide and listen" at any rate I don't hold it against you because I know I have agitated you on several other topics and made you feal the way you do towards me. Hopefully we can come out of this with a better respect for one an other. I would like to extend an invitation to you mr. leonard. come and hunt with me. If you leave hear with the same opinion of me post it. if you leave here with more respect for me and my dogs post that. I plan on hunting with your buddy festus and maybe you will be there. I look forward to meeting you or at least getting your phone call.
Radar, thanks for the kind words and for staying nutral you are also welcome here anytime you like.. I hope this reply clears a few things up. If anybody needs to talk to me 435-668-0161.Thanks, Jared.
