I've never bothered with a gate on private land. It's the crap on state land that I can't take.

Hard subject to deal with. Does anyone know what we can ?

I like the attention this has gotten. I do belive these people locking up there private property with having public property also behind these gates are violating are civil rights wich was passed back when African americans didn't have and rights and could not go to public restrooms or had to sit in special spots on public buses. so they passed a law stating no one should be kept from using public property. what we all need to do is ban together find a lawer that would fight these big timber companys. But doing that is like fighting the law and we all know who wins in the end of that one.

the problem is not with the weyerhaesers i used to dive with one of them when he would mate on a boat when he was a teenager
i work for a few of these super rich familys usualy its the foremans or workers who get these ideas these people dont give a hoot about what your doin
its there moronic workers they are worst than anybody who come up with these ideas give them somethin to do
plus the dumpin dont help
these people check there stocks playgolf get drunk get some tail hang at casios live on a island
but are very approach able this guy he is in NC would be open to anything if you can drink he will talk to you all day he owns a bar
you got to talk direct to the owners to many morons inbetween
well first thing that i do know from experience is the game warden has a key to every lock in his county and he is usualy a local guy and will give a key to some of his huntin buddys that is the easyest way to get the key
the second way is you have to know one of the morons that work there ask around and try to get a key that way
as you guys know you need gates all the dirt bags wont spend a few bucks to dump there garbage at the dumps
do you guys have huntin clubs and leases etc

sooner or later we will be hunting on the kings land the rich will be the only ones who can afford to hunt. divide us and conquer us they will . for instance there are places where only the houndsmen who leases certain areas can hunt these are big tracks of land that use to be public. a friend of mine has one lease . he thought itwas great that he was the only one allowed in there . but if they raise the rates he wont be able to afford it and will be on the outside looking in ,and considered a criminal for tresspassing on land he has hunted his whole life . he agreed with me that it wasnt right. bear hunters in maine pay the most and have the most restrictions , campers ,hikers, coyote hunters ,rabbit hunters can use the land for free. more and more invisible fences go up everyday . home of the over taxed and land of the lawed into submission . jmo .

The rights of private property ownership I hope will never be infringed upon! I can tell you that most if not all private timber company land that has been gated or piped off was due to law suites brought on by someone that got hurt or injured while on their property another problem theses companies face is maintenance of the roads on their land that get destroyed in the winter by hunters. Most all timber company ground can still be accessed a foot or horse back even though they are closed to motorized vehicles. Law suites have changed a lot of things out west over the past thirty years gaits and lock have gone up everywhere couple that with destruction of a persons property and the trash left behind it's no wonder.
