How do you start pups out for Coyotes

I am a new and proud owner of a 13 month old blue tick and she is beautiful. I got her only to save her from the pound. I have always enjoyed coyote hunting by mouth calls but never had the chance to use a dog. I know she is getting near the age were training will be harder but she is very smart and is taking well to basic commands. I really want to let her loose on a yote trail out back but im afraid she wont come back and run clear across the county. So what should i do? Let her run and trail her or keep her on a leash and track for the first time? I can keep up im still young at the age of 23! lol
