the strouts downeast have gotten 8 so far. the pedro dog they got out of my line is the best dog they have seen .he cold trailed for an hour and a half crossed route one with it and jumped on the other side ran it down and killed it 34 lbs . they said alot of the cats he runs they have to wait to shoot because he is to close to the cat to shoot . at two years old if nothing happens to him he should do well.

Ah cat hunters got love um and gotta wonder some times. Treesadie this is specifically for you. Im good friends with Mr.Laney the fella you called arragent. You must have bad dogs or ur just real jealeous. One of the nicest guys around and one of the hardest working guides in the state of Maine. I have run with Paul 6 or 7 times this year and only one day we didnt run a cat, couldent find a track after a big storm. cya, headin to the woods!
Your opinion. I just call them how I see them. I am not alone in my way of thinking.

Hey Treesadie, why dont you give me your address so I can come show you how to kill that big cat in your backyard. Next time you decide to call someone you don't know or have never spoken to for that matter an arrogant prick on a public forum you should think twice. It is really to bad houndsmen like yourself are jelous of anyone with good dogs, you give the sport a bad name. Good luck to you this season. Paul Laney
Treesadie, before you call someone a arrogant prick you may want to get to know them first, I have no idea who you are but I don't appreciate being called names, I am sorry I have good dogs and catch a bunch of cats, houndsmen sure are a jelous bunch.
If I wanted kill the cat in my backyard, I would just open up a window and blast it off a baitpile. No, I dont give houndsman or the sport a bad name, that would be you, killin 10 lb kittens, just to satisfy your clients. Those stories you write about yourself and then have your buddy print in all the papers are bullshit so you can sell a hunt. If it wasnt for you running behind you dogs and finding all thier losses, you wouldn't catch a hot biscuit. You are right, u dont know who I am, but u had your chance to meet me bout 8 years ago when I invited you down to my backyard to catch a big cat that I knew about. No, instead, you came down later on and killed it once I told you where I lived. So yea, I think you are an arrogant prick. Good day. PS. And no, I don't still live there.

Hey Paul.....I was stationed in Brunswick Me. 3 years ago. I was overseas back in 2005 and tried to contact you by phone and e-mail. You never responded back, so I contacted Nelson Cole once and he contacted me back.
I did meet you....or tried to meet you 2 times, once at the Maine sportsman dinner and once at a sports show in 2006-2007.
I know you have top notch dogs and are very successfull every year on bobcats!
But I can speak for myself.....your not the most friendly fellow around and won't recommend you to anyone. Heres my number for about the fifth or sixth time!!!!LOL!!!! 304-663-3911

Treesadie, your comments in your last post show you ignorance of the sport of bobcat hunting, Maybe you could try to follow me and my hounds around for a week and then run your mouth. you might just learn something. give me a call sometime, I would love to talk to you.

TO TREESADIE,
YOU HAVE ABOUT ONE THING TO DO AND THAT IS TAKE YOUR HAT IN YOUR HAND, MUSTER UP THE COURAGE AND MAKE APPOLOGY TO PAUL LANEY FOR YOUR UN WARRANTED REMARKS. I DO NOT KNOW A SOUL THAT DOES NOT RESPECT PAUL. WITH THAT SAID, I EXPECT ALL WILL BE FORGOTTEN AND FORGIVEN.

pedro is up to twelve cats the last one treed 30lbs . also 24 coyotes with all the dogs . guess the lead isnt doing all the catching tree sadie you jealous prick . if you do good tree sadie will definately have nothing good to say boys . i guess we should just take it as a compliment . tree sadie you must lay awake at night with jealousy, and animosity . life is to short to worry about such nonsense . put that energy in to getting in the woods with your hounds and you will be way ahead of the game. post some of your success on here ,and i will be one of the first to congratulate you. life doesnt have to be as negative as your making it.

Anyone hear how Nelson Cole is doing this year? I stopped and had lunch with him this fall, and dropped my old Patty female off so he could get a litter off her. Last I heard he was running a few cats with her.

bigdog061, I think we chatted on here a few years ago when you lived in Brunswick. What part of WV did you move to? I grew up there and hope to live there again someday. Have you seen the videos that Nelson Cole and Ted Reynolds have out? Awesome video, and no bullshit stories. They also hunt out in western canada and kill some nice cats. They know how its done and I can assure you, their dogs know how to run cats and don't need no help. They dont kill kittens either. lol.
