Check this out. The president of our country supports delisting wolves, why they hell hasn't it happened? I am going to have to be an outlaw and hunt western washington just to keep my dogs safe from an unmanaged invasive specie. Smoke a pack a day!

Re: EVERYONE READ THIS!!! Take a stand on the wolf problem!!
So this is the response I got from Patty Murray of Washington after I filled out the form. What a joke, she totally misread what the heck was sent. I had to go back to make sure someone here wasn't trying to fool us and verified what was sent. We gotta get this lady out of office ASAP!!!
Thank you for writing to me regarding the priority you place on the protection of the gray wolf. It was good to hear from you.
I have consistently supported robust laws to protect endangered species, including efforts to protect Pacific salmon and Puget Sound orcas. Rest assured, I oppose rolling back important environmental protections like the Endangered Species Act (ESA) and support funding to protect endangered species and enhance habitat in Washington State. Thank you for alerting me to legislation regarding endangered species currently pending before the Senate.
Throughout my tenure in the Senate, I have been a strong supporter of protection for endangered species and their critical habitats. Please know that I will work with my colleagues in the Senate and as a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee to see that endangered species programs obtain proper funding, and as the Senate addresses issues related to conservation and protection of wildlife during the 112th Congress, I will keep your thoughts in mind.
If you would like to know more about my work in the Senate, please feel free to sign up for my weekly updates at http://murray.senate.gov/public/index.c ... ailUpdates. Again, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with me.

Re: EVERYONE READ THIS!!! Take a stand on the wolf problem!!
Thank you for contacting me about wolf management. It's good to hear from you.
As you know, a decision by a federal judge put wolves back on the Endangered Species List in Montana. I believe this decision misses the mark. I support delisting the gray wolf, getting the federal government out of the way, and putting wolf management back in the hands of Montanans. Montana has proven it can do a better job than the federal government managing wolves under a cooperative management plan. That is why I introduced legislation that would return oversight of the wolf population to Montanans and allow wolf hunts to take place.
Some folks from outside of Montana have also introduced legislation about wolves, but I don't think those bills can pass because they amend the Endangered Species Act, instead of just fixing our wolf issue in Montana. I know Montanans are more interested in finding a common sense solution that will restore state management of our wolf population.
I know how important this issue is to Montanans -- especially to those of us who work the land. I sponsored the bipartisan Wolf Livestock Loss and Mitigation Act, also known as the "Wolf Kill Bill," which authorizes federal resources for state trust funds to reimburse livestock owners whose animals are killed by wolves. It also allows federal grants for states to help lower the risk of wolf kills by improving fencing and grazing practices, using guard dogs, and other means.
I remain committed to mitigating impacts on livestock and other wildlife while overseeing wolf populations through a state management plan and will consider any legislation that does this. Please do not hesitate to contact me again if I can be of further assistance.
Sincerely,
Jon Tester
United States Senator
excuse me but how dose giving the feds the power to use state trust funds put control back into Montanas hand?

Here is what I got.
Dear Mr. Reinhardt:
Thank you for contacting me about amending the Endangered Species Act. I appreciate hearing your thoughts and concerns on this important issue.
I understand how important the outdoors and wildlife are to the state of Idaho and its economy. In fact, people come from all over the country to enjoy the outdoors in our great state. While I always want to ensure that there are a healthy number of wolves, I do believe that year after year the increasing number of wolves in the state of Idaho shows that they no longer need protection under the Endangered Species Act.
The bill which Congressman Rehberg offered and I have cosponsored simply returns the issue of managing wolf populations back to the individual states. Finally, the Endangered Species Act is intended to be a tool to recover a species, not a program for infinite and never-ending federal oversight. I understand states and their wildlife management divisions are best prepared to determine species management on a case-by-case management rather than by federal bureaucrats.
Again, thank you for taking the time to contact me. As your representative in Congress, it is helpful for me to know your thoughts and opinions on issues that are important to you. I would encourage you to visit my website, http://labrador.house.gov, where you can read about my views on a variety of issues and also sign up for my e-newsletter.

Just got it sent. Lets nuke these F#CK@R$! I put together an e-mail of my own to send that link to everyone I know. Please send this to everyone possible. Here is the what it reads:
All,
This is a legitimate, pre-formatted email message that you can send to all the relevant politicians (State and Fed) stating you are in favor of HR 509 and S249, the American Big Game and Livestock Protection Act which allows states to return balance to wolf and wildlife populations in the Northern Rockies and Upper Midwest. It will take only a minute and please forward this email to everyone. Thank you,
Kellan Newberry

Re: EVERYONE READ THIS!!! Take a stand on the wolf problem!!
Reading that "The president of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, David Allen, said the hunting group "will not support anything that ultimately leaves Wyoming out."" really chaps my hide. If he wants any elk left he needs to support any and all bills putting management of grey wolves back in state hands. I hope every member from Idaho and Montana write him and state they will not be renewing due to his lack of support. I think Wyoming should be delisted but Idaho and Montana need it regardless.
