I guess that you should run dogs that you like to run, I am very happy with what I am running. I wouldnt go around telling guys to stay away from pen bred dogs without looking at the lines, or seeing what they are doing with my own eyes. I could find as many faults with every breed, size, color, dog there are out there but then its only my opinion right?

friend i currently go to 6 pens in the state of ga.. on a regular basis.. like i said.. i hunt IN THE PEN AND OUT THE PEN... but its hard to get the dogs used to both cause of the electric fence.. THEY WILL
NOT cross fences if you hunt them strictly in the pens all there life.. then take them out here in the open.. its takes MONTHS ON END TO GET THEM CROSSING.. true im sure there have ben a few that done it with no problem.. but more haven't.. and everyone in the pen world knows that pen dogs cut and slice non stop taking front.. its what there bread for... and they also go from track to tract to track.. and when you take them dogs out here in the open.. they don't do right!!! they run roads.. try to cut across cause there used to the yotes running the same circles in the pen and all kinds of crap... thats why they have outside field trials... but.. i will NOT debate it with you any farther friend... were trying to help a new guy in the sport and not confuse him.. if you want to believe that your pen dogs are just as good as a mans dogs on the outside then im happy for you... you feed what you like to hunt and we will feed what we like to hunt
you have a nice day and god bless

I do not cross fences outside so your view on this would be better than mine, there just are not fences where I hunt. I also do not hunt my dogs in the pen their entire lives, if they cant make it outside I dont care to run the pen with them. Breeding does not make a dog cut and slash, or not cross a fence. I would love to go to georgia and watch your dogs go, always could stand to learn something. Didnt mean to make a pissin match.

Good sentence right there. I agree with that to a certain degree.
