The guy that told me about this was an honest fur buyer that I sold to for quite a few years. He had a nice big skunk hat, face and tail like a coon hat. I said to him you dont trap those things do you and he told me his method and was dead serious. I just laugh because it would be a bit stressful to do it. He left them there a couple days before getting to it. good luck. Terry

Kill pole with acetone is the only way i know of to get one out of a Coil spring trap. Drowned them in a live trap. If you get one that sprays a little, or one that just has a real heavy skunk odor to it, burry it in the ground for 24hrs. You will be supprised at how much odor the dirt will soak up off the critter! enough to handle and get its fur off!
