I figger there startin out way high on the numbers so that when they cut the quota down some, don peay can say he got the numbers cut down because he just loves us hounddoggers an dont wanna see all our lions wiped out...just 99% of them.

Male + Female = Kittens

____+ Female = __________

Male + ______= __________

If one part of the equation is missing no Lions.

Seems to be pretty simple math even for Utah boys with hounds.

Numbers like that those sub-quotas will shut down.

Do you think houndsmen will learn?

We are our own enemy!

Ok guys, the south passed this. We need to get to the rac's up north and make a impact on thier decission. Why aren't more houndsmen being vocal about this issue? Is it cause they are glad they get to shoot more lions (females). Are we (the ones who are against shooting lions) in the minority here in Utah? This will destroy lion hunting.

Well. We tried at the southeast rac to get it shut down to no avail. 8 guys got up to ask that it revert back to last years proclamation, 2 guys got up to voice their support of the changes and the RAC went with the change. What the hell??????? So much for the RAC board listening to the public.

It looks to me like the changes are going through so maybe rather than fighting the change we should fight the numbers! You guys up North need to ask if the division in the questions section if they want to keep the lion population stable at its low level, decrease it or trend it up. I think they will SAY (based on their presentation last night) that they want it stable at its low level. Then convince the idiots that this new plan will DECREASE the lion population in the state significantly. If they want to maintain the population, why wouldn't they set the quota's for the non-sheep management units equal to the average harvest over the last three years? That stratagy sucks but its better than what they have right now! They even said last night that they didn't expect the quota's to be met on most of the management units. WHY THE HELL ARE THEY SETTING THEM SO HIGH THEN?
