As long as you don't mind the cold I think its a lot easier getting around on logging roads especially since I have a crew cab long box ford.

how far can you go on a tank of gas with that machine
not very far!!! i hunt with him and that machine is bad ass but plan on bringing about 20 gals of fuel if your going to be buzzing alot of roads.

I went ahead and got them, mine is 2008 800 and I put polaris tracks on it. I haven't been in more then about 3' of snow but so far it is awesome, I even had my truck and trailer stuck and the 4-wheeler pulled them right out, paid for them self right there.
It does fit in the back of truck which is nice.
hard to steer when not on snow and going slow
fuel wise I have gone about 55 miles so need to be smart or carry more fuel.
only real issue I have is when on a road with no or little snow and lots of rocks it is super rough riding, other then that I love them. I call it my TANK

we love them. other then they dont need to cut the top end so far down they are great. its harder on fuel but not crazy bad compared to the 28 mud tires for summer months.

they will get stuck though

great way to pull kids around and stay warm though
