Looks to be a Red Wolf track they are smaller probably a female. From what i gather here.

I would say a young wolf. See a lot of single wolf tracks here in North Idaho. Found one just today at work that had a toe head kill. Will try to post pictures.

hi gary, i live in sidney. i have hunted this country all my life with hounds and know it can be hard to determine tracks some times. one sure way to tell is a feline has 3 lobes or w on back of pad and a k9 dont he has 2. hope this helps

Your track is definetly a canine, probably a coyote but could be a domestic dog. Here is an average sized wolf track for comparison.
