It was money well spent......they add a little coler to the kennel as well.
Hunt with what ever works for you...color/breed has little to do with it...it's what the hound has inside that catches game...

i have a year and a half old cameron bred female, and two male cameron pups about 3 months old. I love them i also have a plot a redbone and a walkerxplott, i know i may get crap for this but they are my fav. theyre gritty and loyal. i had my pups chasein the wifes house cats around right away they love to hunt. i would pay what i payed for them again.

I'd NEVER own black an blue dogs!! Lol. I couldn't resist. I got more blue dogs in the yard then I've ever had. Well maybe not. And a couple black ones too. That color thing is funny to me. Its the TYpe and quality that counts most. I mean come on I'll even hunt a walker colored dog. So long as there aint no walker in it. ;) that's a nice looking pup and at least he's not sitting at home staring at his food bowl practicing his mournful look.

As soon as my pups are big enough to follow me in the woods i start taking them. its good for them to clime through the rocks and follow the old dogs around. they learn a lot about staying with the older dogs. They start putting there nose down every where the old dogs do, before you know it the pup will be going all the way with the old dogs. Most of my pups will be going with on a track start to finish by about five to six months old and i have had some start much earlier.
