live to hunt,

To answer your question about my kemp and topper dogs, both breeds are good or i wouldn't be feeding them. :D
The first thing is price  .The fist time i ever went cat hunting, i can still remember that big ol walker fire off as he pulled his head from the lion track. It sent a chill up the back of my neck.
I can remember thinking that is the coolest thing around. Well i guess i still think it damn cool listening to my dogs trailing up a steep canyon. So that being said the topper dogs are more open on track and better tree dogs. I will say brandy has always been at the tree and trails good and is fast .

Thanks
Todd

Todd, I just have to ask which do you consider to be more natural, faster track dogs and earlier starters on cats? Andy

Andy,

Far as early starters, i got brandy when she eight months old and she was making races. It took her awhile to start treeing, with Twist and Slash they have been the most natural out of all the hounds i have had. When it comes to tracking between twist and brandy it can go ether way, but slash can flat out move a track. I walked up along side a track the other day and set up the video cam to just see . Its amazing to see how much faster Slash moves a track then the other two when they passed by the video cam. Andy you also got remember Brandy is shy of 5 , Twist is not two and Slash is only ten months . Slash is definitely on his way of being something special . He is a cool dude

Dogs trailed little over two miles till this point. The lion had killed this deer and dragged it couple hundred yards down under a tree, when jumped it didnt e go fifty yards with a full belly .

pegleg ,
Brandy is out of playboy(kemp) and a yadkin bitch. Trails good , good at circle n forward on loses, silent till jumped ,a little light at the tree but is always there . Not sure if that was what you were lookin for ?
