Well the second event is done and in the books. Looks as though we've been having as many or more entries in the Hunts as we do the shows!

Remember next month is our "RQE" Shows and Mini Slam Hunts, and we'll be having our first Field Trial of the year also. Hopefully everyone can make it, and help keep all the events, and the club going strong. Help is always welcome.

Well looks like there was a walker sectional and a bluetick sectional so far this year (lol ) I sure hope some more people come to the next one, if I can drive 2 hours to be there I would think some other folks could show up - it does make it more fun.
Maybe next time my shrinking violet dog will hunt a little better with the stranger dogs too !
But I guess there is no way him or I could get better at it unless we keep trying but gawwddd...I DO HATE hunting at night!!!!!!!!

Liz I am pretty sure we will have a better turn out next time. If we both show up at least we could have about 11 or 12 dogs in the show.

LOL your too funny Liz. Sorry I wasn't there to help handle dogs, I was being poor and stayed home!

I for sure will be at the next one. So we will have a good turn out just us 3 being there. I will be bringing my other half so there will be plenty of extra hands also!

It's always fun when there is more dogs...but crap I just realized that the next Saturday's (April 7th) Nite Hunt is the same night as the CHC dinner, so guess I will just be showing and trying the nite hunt again on Friday night.
How many more UKC events are planned for this year? Is April the last one?

Our RQE is in the books. Weather was AWESOME! We had visitors from Oregon and Southern California, and everyone had a good time as always! The coons we're moving and unlike any other RQE we had cast winners BOTH nights! Thanks everyone who helped!!

Is there a payout in ukc water races or just race for titles and trophies? Sorry for the dumb question... I've only been to a couple field trials and water races and have no idea about ukc sanctioned events. Thanks

The events are only for titles, no money. Dogs must be a perm registered Coonhound with UKC. We do have one open water race a year, usually in August. The date hasn't been finalized yet.

I have a couple ukc registered dogs, I just haven't ever showed a dog... I think I have a couple perty ones. Lol
