No, buddy, listen to Spanky and DWD. Your results will be far more favorable and predictable in the near and far future. You may even want to talk to them in person and have a good explanation why. Just my opinion.

The first cross [f2] can be great dogs but it is harder to get the consistency down the road. As far as hightans being walker and blackand tan cross that happens a lot. There are running dogs that have been around for a long time that are high tans also and not Triggs either. If you ever get a chance to look at The Hunter's Horn you can see a lot of high tan dogs that have not had any Black and Tan blood for many generations. Good looking dogs to. I think the running dog world has done a lot better job of breeding for conformation then the treeing dog world. Dewey
