There is no for sure way to tell age of track its all just a guess. Some claim they can but that's all it is is a claim. Andy

I don't know how far your traveling to hunt but if your spot is near home best way is to select a small enough area you can manage. Say its friday night and you plan on hunting all weekend long. Cut the ground you plan on hunting friday night, mark all the old tracks. Now continue to moniter this area every 12 to 24 hrs and voila a rough track age. This is key for hunting snow like we have here now.

I think tightening up on the amount of area i am hunting is good advice. I have been hunting a different area evey day, think I will stay with one area for a weekend and see what happens.
