Jc have had a few ask will there be a cover charge? Will this be potluck? Know there is a kitchen at the Fairgrounds, will you need a kitchen crew? Sorry to ask, just assume others must be wondering. Thanks AL

Yea Mark it sounds like that a Cover might be mandatory....alas moving the Gathering to town does preclude the Dunk Tank, and the Speedo Contest. It seems that Myrtle Point has ordinances against BAD Taste!

Now there is NO Charge for attending the Gathering!

For some just getting there will be a Financial challenge, but I assure you it will be well worth it! There will be three meals on Saturday and Coffee and doughnuts on Sunday morning for those who stay over.

Just getting to meet some of the fellows who are coming will be worth the sacrifice. The truly Good Bobcat Hunters historically have been as elusive as their Quarry. Having this many in one place at one time is hard to believe!

There will be opportunities to help JC defray the cost with Raffles and Auctions, but participation is only if you see something that you might need or want.

Call folks in your area who might be coming or wanting to come and see about Car Pooling, I know several groups from CA who are doing this to cut down the costs.

Bring sleeping Bags and I am sure there will Motel rooms or maybe even the building the Gathering is being held in to throw them down in.

just got done prepping and marinating the meat. and called the clays . they are only 1 1/2 hours out of town. im sure they will sleepin in the morning. that is a long drive . well off to bed got to go to work in 3 hours yay.

The NOAA weather forecast at Myrtle Point for both Friday and Saturday is looking favorable for staying dry. Friday calls for mostly Sunny and a high of 69 degrees. Saturday, partly sunny and 70 degrees. Sunday, slight chance of rain showers....Keep in mind this is Oregon and right off the coast so things can change without warning! Looking forward to putting a face to all the names, safe travels!

Well Folks,

ole JC and Mr. Al Baldwin have a little peace of Heaven on Earth living here in the Myrtle Point/Powers area.

The temp this morning is about 60% and the high temp for the day is supposed to be about 70.....Wow what a difference from AR.

The Coffee sure hit the spot this morning along with a Sampling of the kind of Sweets there will be at the Gathering Sat. and Sun. mornings.

With good weather forecast, the meat marinating, the price of Gas dropping (at least according to the Radio), ole David a wandering this way, Big N Blue packing his bags, and Lots of stories being dusted off by the Story tellers coming, all is in place for one GREAT Gathering!

We too look foreword to putting faces with the names we have learned to respect and like here on BGH!
