Ah, oui. J'ai passé bien d'années pour apprendre la langue. Ce n'est pas parfait, mais je comprends plusieurs choses.

A coon ass is someone from La.. just to specify for everyone that doesn't know
On a different note, can't help but think about the position of france after 9-11, and the fact that france would be germany if not for the U.S., so I guess the least they could do is speak in english when on an american hound site, but that might be asking alot from the french

Frog. I am not a Cajun, but I can spell it. If you could read French you would have understood that. I was born in New Mexico and I do speak and read three languages.

Larry. You owe our new friend an apology. He did write in English when he got on. I was the one who wrote the messages in French. I was merely welcoming him to the board in his own language. The fact that he answered me in French was simply being friendly to me. As for the political part, I am not going to hold "The French Houndsman" accountable for what his country has done and I won't hold you responsible for some of our country's blunders.

Sorry my friends to speak French, but believe me that if I come on a U.S. website,it is that I like Americans (besides, between politicians and true french, there are a lot of difference, believe me! In addition, if I remember that forthwith France has followed the USA for afghanistan war and it still is)
But good turn, I am a houndman, in France, we have in each village hunters who hunt with hound for millennia.
If today we have hound which track cold scent, it's because the French were the only ones to put these values at the highest level

Hey Gray Fox, it is not my intent to change the purpose of the post, but I do want to say that as much as I love our country it is still good to see that there are those who recognize and admit that the U.S. has made some terrible blunders. Blind allegiance has many drawbacks.

That's sounds like a good idea.
Let's keep this more about welcoming another dog Hunter to the site.

I clearly stated that I had no intention of changing the purpose of the post. However, I saw no reason to start another thread just to make a simple statement which did not call for a response.

briarPatch I Sent you a PM.
I was just saying let's not Bash the New guy here just because he's from a different Country, and speaks a Different Language.
He's a Hound Guy.. I'm sure enough people hate him just for that reason alone!!

hello,
I just change my message written in French to English. But I am surprised by some of your reactions, because me who has ancestors who are American today, and me who has the origins of diverse countries of europe (france, Swiss, German and even some English ancestors) I could not imagine you disappointed because I was born in France.
So sorry.
Indeed, the only enemy that I have are people anti-hunting !

Hey..

Hey Frenchy.. Don't let this flock of rednecks discourage ya from feeling welcome here. Mr. Gray Fox is a classy guy, and most of us here will be honored to hear about your dogs and read a story or two.. especially if they have some pictures with them. I am sure France is a place I will never visit, so take us on a little tour with your hunts.
And, an extra thick hide can come in handy here, when the BS starts flyin.. but you got Big Horn Posse on your side, and she'll stick up for ya.. that may be all you need.
So, post away in any language you want, just include some pictures so us illiterates from Utah ( one of the United States) can follow along.. Welcome, and I (we) look forward to hearing a lot from you..
