Great pictures. I need to start carrying a camera in the woods so I can share pictures with my grand-kids someday.

Here is a dog that i sold Skip aka Old Dog almost 30 years ago, he is half Bluetick 1/4 Redbone and 1/4 Pitbull(Staffordshire Terrier). He made short work of anything you put him on. Image

The Blonde fat kid on the right is my son J.C the other kids are Russel McCall's two boys, Jake and Cole. Just above the bear you can make out a White Dog, he is a Pure Bluetick from my Father's Line. About every third litter a White pup or two with light lemon colored heads would appear. Dad would cull them immediately because they were not true to color.

I saved one, and gave it to Russel McCall, he made a hardcore bear dog. Russel sold him to Stan Wickersham and was later killed in a cave by a Bear.Image

ben the red dog pictured above was one of the fastest dogs to ever sleep in the Padgett kennel. if not the fastest. I grew up with that dog as a kid. Seen him catch cats bear lion and coon with flat ease. A lot of memories just came back to me. I remember feeling so sorry for him the time a bear bit him in the hind end and there was a tooth mark on his nuts. Or the first time I seen him hump a lion after it was dead. only lions would he do that to. Seeing him fly over the front of the rig off the window then hood then ground after a bear that must have just crossed the road. He would out run the other dogs so bad some times it was amazing. easy dog to handle. I loved having him on a lease , always slack in it.
I would enter him in the cat hunt next winter and be pretty confident he would catch a few.

inspite of what that varminator guy tells you, I did use to have hounds before I started messing with curs. lol here is a picture of lucky, he was a grandson of Kelly, and a son of willy her brother. he finished out to be a sure enough cat dog alone or with company. he usually caught cats ahead of the rest of the pack which made him worthless as a pup trainer but he would show you cats anywhere you put him down. he was stolen out of my yard and that broke my heart this is when I went back to playing with the curs lol Image

I got to thinking about old lucky and remembered that a couple years after he was stolen, I was going thru some old full cry mags. found a add from a guy named brian that had a cat dog for sale and I know a guy with that name. he was always looking for a good cat dog, any way the number on the add looked familiar and have always thought he may have took my dog as he drives by my place a lot. long shot but does any body know of this dog in any state? this was six or seven years ago.
