Has anyone had much experience neutering older males? I.E. 5 + yrs old. Did it change them much in your opinion? Or were they already "set" in their ways?

hounder god kinda neutered me a few years back and it mellowed me out a lot..does that help??

I had a Rhodesian Ridgeback that didn't get neutered until he was 5. He got neutered then because he got testicular cancer. He wasn't much of a hunter before, and he got increasingly "protective" of me as he got older. He lasted another 3 years, but it didn't decrease any aggressive tendencies or increase his interest in game.
