I have seen more issues between bow hunters and houndsmen than between houndsmen and its been that way forever. I have even asked bow hunters to let me know where they are baiting so I could avoid them but they seem to think I would go run off them so like I said before,,,i just go hunting and roll the dice.

I hunt all over Idaho and the only problems I have are in southern Idaho. when I started hunting the south I was nearly in many fist fights on the mountain. I was in there spots...... LOL... its every ones spot.. matter of fact I hate the word spot.. I hunt where I want when I want and if you think its yours, your kidding your self.
Look on the bright side most of the guys that raise all the hell and wine are the same guys that don't catch the game. the guys that go about there day and don't cause any trouble are the guys that just know they are good and don't have to be jealous of other hunters and don't have to impress anyone. I wish I knew a good solution to the problem with houndsmen, till I come up with one I will continue to hunt and have fun and just hope that the riff raff will sort its self out. Most good houndsmen respect the sport and encourage others to get hounds to keep the sport alive.
If there are to many hunters where you hunt go to the back country, You cant hunt the land of the pop up bears (32-22) on the weekend and expect to have the woods to your self. I only seen a couple hound hunters the first 2 months of spring bear and I hunted almost every day, it was great.
good hunting

I hunt all over Fairfield and have never seen this. All the guys I run into are friendly, ask questions and even walk into tress with me. Maybe I have just got lucky so far.

I wonder if the anti hunters get on their message boards and slam each other, disrespect each other and call each other names for impeding on their protest areas.

Who are you having trouble with in Pine Creek,I have hunted there for years, and with one exception, the regulars visit with anyone and will help you out if you don't know the area. there are a couple of occasional hunters that are not that way however.

I must run into all the bad ones lol . there are more good than bad though. The worst area I have ever hunted with assholes is Fairfield . if you wanna kill bears go there lol. Its your best defense or if u like fighting its the place. Its mostly the outfitters and the old timers. Pine cr has a couple groups that are douche bags to.

Hi Eric. How was pine cr this year? I drew that tag 2 years in a row and didn't kill any of YOUR bears but had a lot of fun. I didn't want to piss anyone off .

Lots of jelous selfish houndsmen everywhere you go. If you tree lots of game and have outstanding dogs they get jealous and start talking crap and try picking you apart anyway they can. Wish it wasn't that way but they must not like hound hunting that much because there words and actions is what tears us apart.
