Cat Hunters,

Our Rendezcous is kicking off tomorrow for some. I will be there mid-afternoon, meeting Matt Coby from VA to hunt tomorrow night and all week.

Some other hunters will be coming to Honobia as the week progresses.

Marion G. is going to be in area and knows area, plus myself. So if you can contact me tomorrow on my cell while I am traveling and let me know your ETA at Honobia Store I will attempt to be available to make hunting plans?

Cell phones work only sometimes in that area, but have found that text messages will go through?

Leave message, either voice or text, of time you will arrive if you wish to meet at the Store at the campgrounds in Honobia(there is only one) (and you cannot miss it!).

Travel safe and looking forward to meeting everyone,

PS: Rains will not effect us in getting around, except some drainages will have to have 3-4 hours to run down where we can cross them. Scent conditions should be great! Weather forecast allows for scattered storms through out the week. Roads for most part will not be affected or very little anyway.

Let us know how the hunting goes.....along with everything else! That sure sounds fun, I've never been to a rendezvous with a bunch of doggers before, I bet there'll be some shenanigans and mishaps! If not I'll come next year and show ya how its done! Good hunting!

A little rain won't stop us but a big rain might slow us down. 3 to 7 inches of rain upstream on the Little River, flooded the camping and RV park. Two hunters woke up this morning to a couple feet of water flowing under their pickups. Dogs were staked out and swimming when rescued. The current turned one truck sideways but all escaped and are safe. I'm not sure where we'll hold Saturdays meeting and meal. A couple cats were treed yesterday by one group and haven't heard from the others. It's still on.

We flooded out, just to much rain to hold our gathering. We give it our best shot. Thanks to all who showed up and helped. We'll try it again next year. Pretty much the whole area is under flood watch.
