Brent,
I'm not taking sides but I'm jealous of Bettis, I'd like a page out of his book on how you can hunt all year long and not have to work or worry about a family so I could live on the Lasals,San Juan and California hunting year round? I'm sure you could catch the game he does if you could live with your dogs on the mountian!!!

Lightning Ridge,

No need to take any sides, I was just hassling Dennis a little because he was looking for a tag to run on down there and we had a couple. :D

I have no problem with guys jumping to his defense, I've always believed the weak and feeble need someone to defend them and Stormy Ridge proves that chivalry is not dead yet! ;)

I'm with you dude, I want to know how that rotten sucker does it. He was trying to get me to stay down and I told him I had to get back to work. The damn magic mortgage fairies weren't going to magically make my house payment this month. :D :D

Tony catches a lot of game and it generates a lot of jealousy, which is pretty evident here. But nobody is more jealous of him than me bud!! :D

So no need to take a side, I'm just doing what I do best. Being an ass and stirring up the internet legends! ;)

Kirk had some good stuff to say about you the other night!

Hounddawg, I don't want to play your game of who can wright meaner things. Grow up! As for the jealous part that made me laugh. I've caught close to fourty bear this year with three weighing over 450-500 lbs. These bears had 21 and 20 inch skulls. So i'm not that jealous of any bear hunter. Look up www.stormyridgeoutfitters.com for a few bear pics. And the only reason I know that you have a buddy down on the San juan is because you keep us all updated on his success. I've never heard of your buddy til lately. I don't get on here very much especially now elk/deer hunts are on and I'm busy, but I think it's retarded people have to cut down other hunters.

I've met some cool guys/hunters off this site and I love reading about people's stories and there success, but it's sad there is so much drama. . .

I think the guys you were thinking of down here are Russel and Roger Smith. I hunt with them a little, but they are about done with dogs, too many kids.

And for waycool I've never bought a dog from WA, sorry.

Thanks for the offer to go look at all the bears you catch, but I'll go ahead and let you and Ike look at each others sites and you two can fight it out over who is the greatest bear hunter and who catches the biggest bears.

Your message just sounded a bit like some jealousy issues, glad to hear I was mistaken.

Ran into a guy on the mountain yesterday and we got talking. Nice guy and been hunting a long time. He said, "It's getting harder every year to keep track of all the legends." And then he laughed.

10-4 to that!! :D :D

Shoot me over an email or a PM and I can get you his cell phone if you need it. brent@utahbroadband.com

Not sure which red dog you mean... the redtick dog he named Red is still alive, it's the father of a couple of my dogs.

But Ripper, and the red litter mate to my Sam dog are both gone, I forget that dogs name.

Shoot me a message and I'll get you his number, he can keep his eyes and ears peeled for elk down there.

Have fun on your hunt and whack a big one!! By the way, what are you doing with dogs? Kirk said you are way too nice a guy to be mixed up with a bunch of dumbass single digit IQ hound guys.

You don't have to worry Dennis, I'm not going to keep poking you with a stick over here. I know you have your fan club here, I just wanted to see if you still remembered me. I'll leave you alone here with your disciples to spin your yarns.

One quick thing however, on the way home we pulled into gas up and a hound guy pulled up to the pump next to me. We had no dogs visible so he had no way of telling we were dog people. I struck up a conversation and we finally got around to introducing ourselves.

I about fell over when he said his name cuz sure enough bud, he was a Basin guy and a name you've been fond of mentioning on this site, a guy you say always tells you how great your dogs are, etc...

So I just casually said, "I hear there is a fellar out there named Ingram that really has some top shelf stuff, about as good as a hunter comes."

When the dude finally stopped laughing, he had some pretty interesting stuff to tell me and then he'd laugh some more. But I won't spoil it for anyone by writing what he told me.

Besides, fiction is always better than reality I guess. I guess it's kind of like a couple getting divorced. Rarely do both sides of the story match up.

Keep telling your stories amigo and I don't see any need to call you. I just met one of your buddies over the weekend and heard all I needed to hear.

I just hope that damn BNG ain't out talking about me that way, but he probably is!!

Keep it real chief. Over and out.
