little bit....Maybe Ben Lilly and the boys wouldn't b rolling over in there graves if they knew they could follow a Garmin strait to the tree...No more needless walking your a$$ off...Maybe I'm wrong but aybe not. Also, maybe they wouldn't mind a snow machine to cut a track? Didn't they get paid per animal they killed....But, as I said, I may be DEAD wrong

There is an old saying that goes something like this, "ignorance is bliss?" To me that means don't knock something until you try it, or you don't know what you're missing if you ain't ever seen or done it..............
Personally, I'd say lots of those guys lost their dogs from time to time and spent alot of time finding them--if ever. I'll bet had you happened along on the right day (a day when Lilly had lost his hounds on a bear for a week or so) and showed him how a set of tracking collars worked he'd crapped down both legs and gone and bought a set for himself. And why not?

Here's a photo of his memorial near Pinos Altos, NM .. I just happened to have some friends down from WA and took them by the memorial...
Best book I have read is by Montague Stevens "Meet Mr Grizzly"

Well.... considering a fella was killed by a lion a few miles from there in his front yard... and they snared two lions afterward ...
Yes.. there are definitely some lions there !

But.. I dont hunt over that way

Its nice country for sure...
