regardless of what you intend to use a dogo for, get it from a working breeder. if the parents aren't hunted there is no way of remotely knowing what you're getting. the dogo in it's present form has existed in argentina for at least a good 50-60 years and is kept by some in argentina purely as show dogs no different than here. investigate her line carefully as pure field lines don't normally go 120#. in TX it is used almost exclusively as a catchdog. almost no one actually hunts them so a lot of hunting ability & drive has been lost. OTH a good hunting dogo is a very capable dog far more so than would be expected by it's bully looks. hunters in argentina have been known to run 40 miles in a days taking several boar or lions w/ their dogos. (yes the dogos CATCH the lions, but to my understanding they are used in mixed packs w/ hounds.)

Pops,
Thanks for the information. It is appreciated. I was only mildly interested in Dogo's. Not any more.
In view of what "big ears" and his administration has already done to the country we'll be lucky to hold on to the dogs we have now. The Islamic Extremists must be jealous they haven't been able to cause as much destruction as BO.
